    I would rather die in my sleep. PEACEFULLY! Instead of falling of the chairlift… You hear me? Alright, so four people (including me) are on the chairlift at Whistler to go watch PARALYMPIC ALPINE SKIING! We’re really excited, plus the chairlift is so exciting because of the wonderful view… and well… we’re just all crazy. We had to walk down a ski hill, and then take a bus (specially, awesomely, just for the XXI Winter Olympics) and after that we ran by the creek up to the chairlift. All the Olympic/Paralympic decorations were really nice and it was really fun because of everything that day… (SKIING!) Today was one of the best days, of skiing and in my life? I will never forget today. Ooh and on the gondola (not the one shown in the video) we all decided to scream as loud as we could on the count of 3 and we did indeed, scream very loud and even the people in the gondola car next to us heard. In total our group went on four chairlifts… and we loved them. especially the downloading chairlift after the Paralympic alpine skiing, with my stomach at my brains. Feeling bad for the ski groups who didn’t go to watch the Paralympic skiing. It was REALLY REALLY REALLY cool, despite the burning sun. Canada was winning… but eventually (GRR) USA got in the way… And negative 4 degrees? More like 20 degrees. The whole while back on the bus, I was sad… WANTED MORE SKIING! At least we’re going again next Thursday?

    A bra tree? Yep! It’s a tree at Timberline Ski Resort that is next to the chairlifts where a bunch of people have thrown their undergarments onto it. It has now become a notable landmark to all skiiers, and it has been a popular tradition to keep adding on to it.     Finally, after a two year break from skiing, we were ready to get on the slopes again. We got started a day late, because of the humongous snow storm on March 8, 2008. During our 10.5 hour drive to Bethel, Maine, we must have seen about 40 cars and tractor trailers in the ditch between Toronto and Montreal. Thank god we made it alive. We finally arrived at our comfy condo for the week and settled in for a nice March break getaway. Skiing at Sunday River was fabulous. The resort extends over eight different mountain peaks, its 110 trails cater to every level of skier and its 10 lifts whisked us to the top in no time. Weekday skiing is great since we literally skied right up to the chairlifts, hopped on and headed for the peak. No lineups whatsoever! The weather was great for most of the week, and the views from the top of the mountains is gorgeous. I would say this was definitely some of the best East coast skiing I have ever experienced.

    Dude! I love this mountain. Skiing on Tuesday at 49 is a dream for the downhiller. No lines, great snow, terrific food and in the Boomtown Bar, and staff that makes you feel welcome and happy. Where else can you have a mountain and 5 chairlifts to yourself? This video is dedicated to my friend Dan Hill, Kaley who used to be a Martin, and Skyler who used to be a snowboarder.
